Aleph Zero Foundation launches CTRL+Hack+ZK hackathon with key industry partners

Zug, Switzerland, January 2nd2024 / AlexaBlockchain/ – Aleph zero Foundation, a leading player in the blockchain industry, has unveiled its latest initiative aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration in the blockchain space. In a relationship with Telekom MMS, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, stc Bahrain, Heartcore Capital, Arca Finance, Cardinal Cryptography, and a variety of other organizations will host the Aleph Zero Foundation CTRL+Hack+ZKa comprehensive hackathon event from January 10th to 31st, 2024.

The CTRL+Hack+ZK Hackathon represents Aleph Zero’s most comprehensive and ambitious hacking event to date, designed to drive groundbreaking developments in the world of blockchain technology. The event takes place virtually and allows developers from all over the world to participate.

This three-week virtual hacking experience gives participants the opportunity to get hands-on with Rust and Ink! Workshops, educational programs and hands-on mentorship with Aleph Zero’s core development team and ecosystem partners. Aleph Zero has a long history of supporting successful projects, and CTRL+Hack+ZK aims to provide developers with a launching pad to turn their innovative ideas into reality, with the potential for their projects to become integral parts of the Aleph Zero ecosystem.

In addition, employees of Franklin Templeton Investments, Block54, RR2 Capital, and more will serve as hackathon judges, providing participants with significant opportunities to showcase themselves.

Teams of existing Aleph Zero ecosystem partners will also be on site to share their experiences and provide valuable insight and guidance to new hackathon participants.

The hackathon features various tracks with sizable prize pools, including Telco, DeFi, DiD (Decentralized Identity), Gaming, and Tooling and Infrastructure. Prizes range from $2,000 to $20,000, and participants have the opportunity to fast-track follow-on funding of up to $500,000.

Hackathon tracks include:

  • Telecommunications: This track invites developers to transform the telecommunications sector using Aleph Zero’s advanced tools. The focus is on optimizing existing infrastructure and designing new services in order to create the conditions for future advances in telecommunications.
  • DeFi: Developers are encouraged to use Aleph Zero’s privacy-focused framework to develop unique DeFi solutions and services.
  • DiD: This track explores identity-related solutions that leverage Aleph Zero’s native data protection stack and network of interoperable tool libraries to enable secure and decentralized identity management.
  • Gaming: Participants are encouraged to creatively use Aleph Zero to develop NFT-based in-game items, enhance game development through Aleph Zero’s specialized libraries, create smart contracts for in-game transactions and collectibles, and indexers for Create gaming data.
  • Tools and Infrastructure: This track focuses on developing applications, node providers, libraries, and tools that improve the developer experience and ecosystem around Aleph Zero.

The schedule for CTRL+Hack+ZK includes an Aleph Zero ecosystem town hall on January 10th, followed by a series of workshops, intensive hacking sessions and a demo day. Winners will be announced on February 5 and will receive prizes, mentorship opportunities and possible inclusion in the Aleph Zero Ecosystem Funding Program, which has distributed nearly $4 million in grants to various teams and products.
