Side bet for the entire game

Insider status:

Belmont beat Drake a few games ago, scoring 87 points on 1.28 points per possession. It wasn’t as efficient last game, scoring 67 points on 47.1 percent shooting, but there’s no denying the Bruins’ offense can keep up with the Sycamores.

However, I wonder if the Bruins’ three-point shooters will be efficient enough against ISU’s perimeter defense, as the home team is holding their opponents to 31.1 percent from distance. Belmont also had a 5:15 night after three home games against the Redbirds. Without the three-ball, the Bruins could find themselves in a shootout they are not equipped for, as Indiana State is a well-oiled offensive machine.

I’m betting Indiana State will bounce back from its loss to Drake with a convincing home win against Belmont.

Overall selection for the entire game

Insider status:

I don’t expect the Bruins to shoot lights from long range, but they could bounce back significantly after shooting below their season average last game. At least they’ll knock down six or seven treys. While the Sycamores are solid defensively at the rim, they are not as strong inside, stopping only 4.7 percent of their opponents’ shots at the rim. The Bruins (66.5 rim FG%) will benefit as they are putting nearly 40 percent of their shots at the basket. Indiana State should continue to score a lot of points this season, as Belmont’s opponents are shooting at an incredible 64.8 percent this season and are expected to hit eight or nine three-balls of their own.

This game should top the overall standings as the Sycamores (25th in pace) and Bruins (35th in pace) are fast, high-scoring teams.
